Everyone always thinks that there is a magic bullet or some kind of super secret formula that you need to know to succeed in affiliate marketing. Even if I swore to you that there wasn’t any kind of special key to success, you probably wouldn’t believe me.
After all, there must be some reason why you aren’t as successful with your affiliate marketing as you would like to be, right?
Most affiliates seem to think that there is just one little thing that they need to know that will propell them into Super Affiliate statis… just that one thing that will make them super successful and generating all the revenue that they want. So what is it?

Unless you also create your own products, in addition to marketing affiliate products, you may never have heard the term *evergreen.*
Let me tell you right now… it has absolutely nothing to do with saving the environment.
On the other hand, it does have a lot to do with saving some energy… Yours!
If you’ve ever spent a lot of time setting up an affiliate marketing campaign around a particular affiliate product only to have the product go through significant upgrades or changes (or come off the market completely!) right after you finish, then you already understand the importance of finding evergreen products whenever possible. In affiliate marketing, there are lots of ways to increase your earnings and one of the most important ways to increase your affiliate marketing bottom line is through the use of product recommendations. After all, if customers trust you and you’ve built rapport with them, then they will also trust your recommendations.

I’ve always been a big fan of swipe files. It’s taken me over 10 years to develop a reasonable collection of swipe files to help me with my copywriting. For years I’ve collected direct marketing pieces, online sales letters, autoresponder messages, etc. that I thought were particularly effective. I have dozens of file folders full of hundreds of pieces… and I drag it all out and spread it all over the living room and my office when I need to get a little copywriting inspiration.
It’s a huge mess!
You see, whenever I see a direct marketing piece that has a great headline, awesome bullets, a really terrific closing, etc., I keep the entire direct marketing piece so that the part I want to swipe stays in context. I try to keep them organized, but it’s nearly impossible! The real problem is that I can rarely find what I want when I want it.
