Where’s the Directory?

I know you’re looking for our affiliate directory… but we’ve given it up for the time being.  It was more trouble than it’s worth AND it didn’t really provide you with any real value anyway.  Let me tell you why:

1. If you’re looking for an affiliate program, you’re much better off finding the product first, then finding out if they have an affiliate program.  I know that’s a bit contrary to what you’re used to seeing, but that’s how most experienced affiliate marketers go about finding programs to promote.
   
   
2. Running just about any kind of directory is an invitation for spam.  I’ve actually run several different types of directories now… and they are a total pain.  I end up spending the majority of my time trying to keep up with the spam and separate it from the legitimate entries.
   
   
3. I’d rather spend my time writing good blog posts and creating valuable information rather than trying to keep up with the demands of a directory.

So there you have it.  Goodbye directory.  Hello more and better affiliate marketing tactics and strategies!
