Last month in Answers eMagazine I published a really great article by Yaro Starak titled, “Reporter vs. Expert - Why Most Bloggers Are Stuck Reporting.” The article basically made the point that most bloggers out there report on the news in their industry… a move that actually costs them revenue. Willy Crawford sent me an email recently telling me about these amazing MP3’s that Brian McElroy has put together. You may not have heard of Brian McElroy, but he’s someone that I became aware of because he generated over $100,000 in sales JUST from forum marketing.I thought that was absolutely fantastic. In fact, I thought it was so fantastic that I really didn’t believe it.

I recently came across the article below that talks about “opportunity junkies” and internet marketers as if they mean the same thing.

In my view, internet marketing is a legitimate activity for any business that operates online. Successful online businesses should be spending a significant amount of their resources on internet marketing in order to grow their businesses, and anyone who performs that specific, specialized task is therefore an internet marketer.
I’m an internet marketer.
I’m not an opportunity junky and I’ve been practicing the art of internet marketing for over 10 years. I say it’s an art because it takes a lot of time, education, practice, perseverance, and experience to become a good internet marketer. It’s about knowing your audience and understand a lot of the nuance in reaching your audience.
At least that’s my opinion.
Here’s the article that got me riled up. I’ve added my own comments in blockquote… they’re not part of the original article. Read the rest of this entry
